You just can’t go wrong with Bugs Bunny, Edward G. Robinson and Peter Lorre! From all the way back in 1946, one of my favorite Warner Brothers Looney Tunes shorts, RACKETEER RABBIT. Just one great gag after another. Early on you’ll see a sign that reads ‘Hotel Fritz’, and that’s a tribute to the great Looney Tunes director Fritz Freeling, who directed this terrific animated film. Peter Lorre looks so creepy here it’s hilarious. A seminal influence. #animation #looneytunes #bugsbunny #edwardgrobi

😂 Bugs Bunny is one of the most iconic cartoon characters in history, known for his mischievous personality and quick wit. First introduced by Warner Bros. in 1940, he quickly became a staple of the “Looney Tunes” and “Merrie Melodies” series. Bugs is often depicted as a carefree, confident rabbit who can outsmart nearly anyone, especially his frequent rival, Elmer Fudd. His catchphrase, “Eh, what’s up, doc?” became an instant classic, embodying his relaxed, yet always in control attitude. His

😎 Bugs Bunny is one of the most iconic characters in animation history, created by Warner Bros. and known for his quick wit, mischievous charm, and unmistakable Brooklyn accent. Debuting in the late 1930s, he quickly became the face of the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series, often outsmarting rivals like Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, and Daffy Duck. His confident personality and clever catchphrases—especially the legendary “Eh, what’s up, doc?”—helped cement him as a timeless cultural figure.

Warner Bros. Pictures was known throughout the 1930's and 1940's as the leading producer of gangster and "tough guy" features. Naturally, its cartoon studio loved to parody these movies, and the actors associated with them. One of the most prominent "tough guy" actors of the time was Edward G. Robinson. His stocky build, squinty eyes and menacing facial expressions made him easy to caricature. His vocal mannerisms, including the tendency to say: "Yeah, see!" became part of the "noir gangster" pe

edg.max3 on Instagram: "1940s–Present: Bugs Bunny became one of the most iconic cartoon characters ever created, the smooth-talking trickster who could outsmart anyone with a smirk and a carrot. While other characters relied on strength or aggression, Bugs relied on brains, confidence, and perfect comedic timing. He didn’t just win fights, he embarrassed his enemies while doing it. What made Bugs so legendary was his personality. He could be playful, sarcastic, calm under pressure, and completel

Well, it's finally surfaced. A clip from the 6th episode of the "Bugs Bunny Show", which originally aired on ABC November 15, 1960. Despite the foreign dubbing, you'll get the idea. Bugs does an impression on guitar of "Frankie doing an imitation of Rickie doing an imitation of Elvis". The segment was likely directed by Friz Freleng. Also included in this video is the use of the same tune (and same recording) in the theatrical Foghorn Leghorn cartoon "Banty Raids" (Robert McKimson, 1963). | Gold

History | Ancient History on Instagram: "Bugs Bunny emerged gradually through the collaborative creativity of several Warner Bros. artists in the late 1930s and early 1940s, rather than being the invention of a single creator. His earliest prototype appeared in 1938’s Porky’s Hare Hunt, featuring a hyperactive, Woody Woodpecker–like rabbit, but it was animator Chuck Jones, director Tex Avery, and character designer Bob Givens who refined the rabbit into a cooler, more confident trickster.
