Ok folks here is a look at the Alpena's SPIC AND SPAN Engine room... you can see her steam engine when the video first starts and then Hugh goes downstairs and toward the aft end of the ship where the propulsion system is that turns the propeller for the ship... you can see it spinning around... The engine drives the line shaft (that long tube spinning) and that's what turns the propeller! So cool! I've seen it aboard many vessels but not when underway! I love looking at these spaces in the bell
