They do well communally (this group has three males and three females), are very active and intelligent, small and easy to care for, and hardy. Emerald grass lizards (Takydromus smaragdinus) are an arboreal lacerta species native to Japan and other countries in Asia. They are a species that does very well communally and due to their high activity level keeping them is similar to keeping fish. One exception is that you can hold these after trust has been built!
